How long does a typical driveway paving project take?
Most residential driveway projects are completed in 1 to 3 days, depending on the size and scope of the work. We'll give you a clear timeline during your free estimate.
What is the difference between asphalt and tar & chip?
Asphalt provides a smooth, uniform surface ideal for driveways and parking lots. Tar & chip offers a more textured, rustic look at a lower cost and is popular for rural driveways and country roads. Both are durable options — we can help you choose the best fit during your estimate.
How often should I sealcoat my driveway?
We recommend sealcoating your asphalt driveway every 2 to 3 years. Regular sealcoating protects against weather damage, UV rays, and oil stains, extending the life of your pavement significantly.
Do you handle landscaping and hardscaping too?

What do you check before a new surface goes down?
Drainage and the base come first. Water is shaped off the pavement, a stone base is compacted, and only then is hot-mix asphalt or tar and chip placed. If the old pavement is too broken to cover, it comes out. An overlay is a fit when the shape is still sound and the base is not pumping mud.
When is sealcoating the wrong fix?
Sealcoating protects sound asphalt. It will not level standing water, hold a driveway that has no stone base, or stop an edge from crumbling. If the pavement is breaking up, it needs a rebuild or an overlay instead. Sealcoating also needs the right weather: warm air while the sealer cures and dry pavement.
How soon can I drive on fresh pavement?
Stay off fresh asphalt until it has cooled, and stay off a fresh sealcoat until it has cured. Both depend on the weather that day. We will tell you on site when it is ready.
